When a salesman acts to have his company products, located in bottom shelves, transferred  to better shelf spaces ,when he orders the helpers to wipe clean his displayed products, when he installs posters and price tags to attract customers- what he is really doing is to make it easier for the ultimate consumer to decide to buy the product. This is what we called merchandising.
