What would a quiet leader say to Anna about her challenges at work? She might say: “Sounds exciting! This would be a great opportunity to take some time to think about what you really want from a career, a chance to reinvent your future.”
You could say that quiet leaders are just optimists, and while this is partially true, Quiet leaders do far more than just see the bright side to every dark cloud. A quiet leader does a critical thing they listens for people’s potential. When a quiet leader listens, they listen to people and believe in others completely. They encourage and support others in being the best they can be, just in how they listen, without saying a word. They listen to people as though they have all the tools they need to be successful, and could simply benefit from exploring their thoughts and ideas out loud as well.
